François also ventured into teaching master classes and innovated ligature designs. Notably, he embarked on a collaboration with composer Philippe Boesmans for a saxophone prototype project. In 2003, François Louis furthered his innovations, including the modelisation of the Aulochrome and the development of new reed concepts for saxophones and clarinets.
