The Schagerl tenor saxophone Model 66V-EC Vintage unlacquered represents a successful blend of traditional tonal ideals and modern precision. Following intensive development work together with renowned saxophonists such as Harry Sokal, Fabian Rucker, and Martin Fuss, this instrument reaches a new level of quality, durability, and playability. The mechanics were completely revised in collaboration with Robert Schröck (Saxophonwerkstatt Wien). The result is the Schagerl Series Model 66 "European Customized", which impresses with particularly ergonomic response, excellent intonation, and reliable mechanics. The optimized key action enables direct, comfortable playing across all registers. The unlacquered vintage finish not only gives the instrument a distinctive, characterful appearance but also shapes the sound in a decisive way. The result is a smoky, dark tone with great depth and expression – ideal for jazz and related styles. This tonal character is reminiscent of the classic recordings of great saxophonists and brings an authentic vintage aesthetic to modern productions. Included in the delivery is a Model 66 Trekking case, offering excellent transport comfort and ample space for accessories.
