Product details
Your thumb bears almost the entire weight of your instrument while you play—the large-size thumb rest pad from BG ensures that this remains comfortable. The soft cover, made of elastomer—a flexible, rubber-like material—is slipped over the thumb rest and acts as a small cushion between your skin and the metal. This distributes pressure more evenly, significantly reducing pressure points and calluses on your thumb. At the same time, the pad stays securely in place and provides your hand with ergonomic support. This relaxes your posture and allows your fingers to move more freely across the keys. The large size fits large-format thumb rests on B-flat and E-flat clarinets (Böhm and German systems) as well as on the oboe and English horn. It is discreetly crafted in black at the BG workshop near Lyon. Whether for daily practice, long orchestra rehearsals, or lessons: this small detail makes every session noticeably more relaxed.
