A specially formed cloth wrapped around a sponge rubber disc is placed in the middle of the cord. By this means, the cloth is pressed evenly and flatly against the inside walls as it is pulled through the instrument. The washable cloth is pulled to the mouthpiece end and then pulled out again in the reverse direction.
