Product details
With the Superior Anniv. 120 / No. 1, Manuel Rodríguez presents a strictly limited anniversary model – limited to only 120 pieces worldwide. It’s impressive at first glance: the solid spruce top ensures clarity, dynamics, and a direct response, while the exceptionally attractive grained body woods of the SUPERIOR series are real eye-catchers.
Spanish heel – the heart of the guitar
All models in the series are made with the original Spanish heel – the pinnacle of guitar making. The neck, crafted from a single piece, extends into the body and is directly connected to the sides, back, and top. The result:
• enormous stability
• optimal vibration transmission
• fast response
• long sustain
• more sound, more depth, more expression.
Handcrafted in Europe, this special model impresses with features that are anything but standard in this price range:
• Mahogany neck with ebony reinforcement on the back
• Nut and saddle made from hand-filed, oiled vintage bone
• Water-based eco-friendly high-gloss finish
• Innovative Moreno 12-hole bridge for even pressure and easy, secure string attachment
A special feature of all 4/4 guitars by Manuel Rodríguez is the GEWA armrest. Its rounded shape ensures a particularly comfortable playing feel and allows the top to vibrate freely across its entire surface, as it prevents damping by the right arm resting on it. Hannabach 815HTC strings, manufactured in Germany, are fitted ex works, perfectly rounding off the tonal quality of this series.Mensur 4/4 Top solid spruce Neck mahogany, with ebony reinforcement on the back Finish lacquered Special Feature arm rest
GEWA music, founded by Georg Walther in Adorf in the Vogtland region in 1925, initially focused on the construction and sale of handcrafted musical instruments and cases. Following the occupation of the Vogtland region after World War II, Walther relocated the company to Mittenwald, Bavaria, along with 20 of its top employees. Thanks to its central location in Europe and the renowned reputation of the region for instrument making, GEWA quickly resumed its old business model and achieved economic success once again.
