Product details
The basic idea behind all ERGObrass and ERGOsax soprano supports is based on the simple fact that all wind instruments are difficult to hold due to their nature. We all realise that relaxation is also very important when playing the soprano saxophone. However, holding the instrument in playing position inevitably leads to static tension, particularly in the right hand and thumb, but also in the arm, shoulders, upper body and neck. Typically, the player tends to bend the head downwards to play the instrument. Although this allows some of the weight to be supported by the neck strap, this posture is difficult in the long term. Furthermore, the bell should point higher towards the audience, although it should be noted that the neck strap does not fulfil any function in this case.
Most players are able to play with this bent posture and the tension, but the tension leads to an impairment of the playing flow.
The effective solution to these challenges is the use of an ERGOsax support. This enables every soprano saxophonist to play with a relaxed posture. In addition to improved efficiency, the product also impresses with its high level of comfort.
ERGObrass designs ergonomic support systems for musicians, aimed at reducing physical strain during performances. The ERGObrass system supports brass instruments like trumpets and trombones by shifting the weight away from the arms, helping prevent fatigue. ERGOsax, tailored for saxophone players, uses a telescopic rod to support the instruments weight, improving posture and reducing tension in the neck, back, and shoulders. Both products are praised for enhancing comfort and allowing longer, more relaxed playing sessions.
