Jose Real Cintero - Schagerl Artist

How long have you been playing Schagerl trumpets and how did you get into it?
When I was 8 years old, I started my musical studies in Spain with piston trumpets and had no opportunity to play the German trumpet during my studies. Continuing my studies in Germany and getting to know the German cultural environment meant a change in my attitude towards music and the trumpet in particular. During my master's degree at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, I began my search for the German trumpet. I had played with various brands of trumpet until I tried a Schagerl Berlin. I was fascinated by its quality and its special sound. With the help of Matthias Höffs and Gábor Tarkövi, I made the right decision.
Who has influenced you the most over the past few years and what are you currently doing?
I completed my studies at the ‘Salvador Seguí’ Music Conservatory in Castellón (Spain) and at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt (Austria) under the guidance of Prof Vicente Campos and Prof Reinhol Ambros. I have also had music lessons with various teachers and professors, such as D. Andrés Simeó, D. Enrique Rioja, D. Luis González and D. Raúl Junquera. I am currently doing my master's degree at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre with Prof. Matthias Höffs. I was an academy student with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Bassam Mussad, Alan Kirkedallund , Frank Ludemann and Tillman Bollhöfer. I combined rehearsals and concerts in the orchestra with my concerts as a solo trumpeter. I have worked with youth symphony orchestras and professional orchestras. Until this year I was deputy solo trumpeter with the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra and I am currently a member of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn.
Why do you trust Schagerl trumpets and which instruments do you currently play?
I think that Schagerl offers high-quality instruments that give us security and a very stable register. The trumpets are made of high-quality materials and have an excellent sound.
Nowadays I play with Bb and C trumpets, Berlin model, which have a perfect sound and excellent intonation as well as a very stable register.
It is a pleasure to play with them!
