Vjeran
Jezek was born 1979 in Zagreb. He attended music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During
his studies he won twice the National Competiton: 1994 in Bjelovar and 1996 in
Rijeka, and was nominated as best trumpeter in all categories. Afterwards
he started to study at the Music Academy in Zagreb, continued his studies in
Innsbruck, Austria, at the Masterclass of Professor Erich Rinner. He made his
degree at the Masterclass of Professor Hannes Läubin in Munich, Germany. During
and after his studies Vjeran Jezek was playing at following orchestras:
Philharmonic Orchestra Zagreb, Symphonie-Orchestra Zagreb, Croatian TV Bigband,
IJOA Bayreuth, Young Austrian Philharmony, … After his
studies he started as solo-trumpeter in the new European Philharmony Orchestra
Karlsruhe, afterwards he started playing as solo-trumpeter at the Philharmonic
Orchestra in Plauen/Zwickau. He is also playing as a guest trumpeter at
following orchestras: Münchner Symphoniker, Opera Munich, Bach Collegium
Munich, Kammeroper Munich….. Vjeran Jezek
is an international Musician, playing his trumpet in the whole world. He
gave workshops at Miraphone Akademie and English Brass Academy in Shrewsberry,
Great Britain. His first classical CD was published in April 2015 at Aquarius
Records. 2018 he will be
teaching trumpet at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
