Andrei Kavalinski is a prizewinner of the most important
major International Trumpet Competitions such as Maurice André (Paris), Citta
di Porcia (Italy), Tromp Muziek Biennale (Eindhoven, Netherlands), Toulon
(France), Moscow (Russia), ITG-Ellsworth-Smith (Bad Säckingen, Germany) a.o.
Mr.
Kavalinski is also winner of Karlheinz-Stockhausen-Prize (Germany),
Richard-Wagner-Prize (Bayreuth, Germany), Timofei-Dokshizer-Prize (Moscow,
Russia) a.o.
He studied
the trumpet with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich and Prof. Edward H. Tarr at the
Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe (Germany). In 2005 he was awarded his concert
diploma with highest possible marks. Kavalinski continued his studies with
world’s famous composer Karlheinz Stockhausen in Kürten, Germany.
Mr.
Kavalinski touring frequently Europe, South-America, Asia and Russia as a
soloist and chamber musician. Apart from the Orchestre National de France,
where he is a Principal Trumpet, Kavalinski He appeared with the Deutsches
Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Bolshoi State Theatre Orchestra (Moscow), the
Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the “Moscow Virtuosi” Chamber Orchestra, the
South Netherlands Philharmonic, the Darmstadt State Orchestra (Germany), the
Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto (Italy), the
Kyoto Chamber Orchestra (Japan) a.o.
Kavalinski
has worked with conductors such as Haitink, Muti, Jansons, Gergiev, Marriner,
N.Järvi, Nézet-Séguin, Pinnock, Zinman, Eschenbach, Luisi, Bychkov a.o.
His wide repertoire includes works from the Baroque, Classical & Romantic
periods as well as those of contemporary composers. Many composers have
dedicated Kavalinski their works for Solo Trumpet & Trumpet & Symphony
Orchestra.
He has
recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Sony, RCO Live, Erato, Warner Classics and
m.o.
