How long have you been playing Schagerl trumpets?
I bought my first Schagerl Bb trumpet, model Vienna, in 2005.
How did you come to Schagerl?
Florian Klingler let me play his trumpet back then and so the purchase of a Schagerl trumpet was sealed. Over the past 15 years, I have always received excellent support and advice from Schagerl.
Which trumpets are in use?
My Schagerl family has grown enormously in recent years. As a solo trumpeter at the Staatstheater München am Gärtnerplatz, I also need many different trumpets, as the theatre plays a wide variety of genres such as opera, operetta, musicals, symphony concerts and chamber music.
My C-Berlin Heavy, Perinet-James Morrison and the Cornet Charis are in constant use. I also sometimes use the Killer Queen in musicals.
Who has influenced you in your career?
When I started my studies in autumn 2000, I naturally looked up to trumpeters like Hans Gansch and Florian Klingler. The enormous sound imagination of both trumpeters has motivated me to this day and made me set very high standards for myself.
I have already played with many trumpeters and always try to filter out the best for myself and then realise it, because you never stop learning!
