Wolfgang Pfistermüller

About the Artist

Wolfgang Pfistermüller, born in 1975 in Wels, completed his studies at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He has performed as a guest musician with various renowned orchestras and ensembles, including Pro Brass and the trombone quartet Trombone Attraction. He is a member of the Vienna Trombone Quartet, the internationally known Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra, and the Austrian Brass Connection. In addition, he held a teaching position at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna for several years. After his time with the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck, he became a member of the Vienna Symphony in 1999. Wolfgang Pfistermüller plays the bass trombone model AURORA, which he developed together with the Schagerl company.
