About the Artist

Roman Rindberger has been a professor of trumpet and brass chamber music at the MUK Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna since 2012, as well as a trumpeter in the Mnozil Brass ensemble. His tours with Mnozil Brass have taken him to the podiums and stages of all the major concert halls and music theaters in the world, including Suntory Hall, Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Elbphilharmonie, Berlin Philharmonie, KKL Lucerne, Burgtheater Vienna, and of course the Vienna Musikverein and the Vienna Konzerthaus.

He has worked in every conceivable style, from Baroque music to contemporary and experimental compositions. As an orchestral trumpeter, he has spent many years performing with a variety of ensembles, including the orchestras of the Zurich Opera and the Munich State Opera. He has played with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more.

Through this, he has learned a great deal about the different cultures and traditions of these orchestras and now passes this knowledge on to his students, aiming to give them as comprehensive an understanding as possible of the various styles and musical influences. Especially in auditions, it is crucial to be able to hit the right style according to the country and tradition to make a convincing impression.
