Gergö Turai

About the Artist

Gergő Turai was born in Budapest in 2004 and began playing the trumpet at the age of seven. He began his musical education at the Szentendre Music School under the direction of Richárd Kresz and later continued his studies with Tibor Király at the Szent István Music High School in Budapest. He won the national competition in Hungary twice and is also a prizewinner of the international competition in Brno. Since 2022 he has been studying at the UdK Berlin under the direction of Professor Gábor Tarkövi. Gergő was a member of the Verbier Youth Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra. In September 2023, he won the audition for the position of deputy principal trumpet in the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
