Laura Valbuena

About the Artist

Born in Bogotá, Colombia. In Vienna since 2013, she is studying clarinet classical music and a master's degree in saxophone popular music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Here in Austria, she leads two music projects, La Sonora, a thirteen-piece salsa band that brings together professional musicians from 8 different countries, and the jazz quintet Entre Nos, where the traditional music of Latin America is mixed with jazz.
Laura has had the opportunity to perform on stage with renowned artists such as Juan Diego Flores, Paquito D ́Rivera and Ina Forsman. In 2020, she was appointed cultural representative of her place of origin, Ubaté.
