Alongside a brilliant career as a trumpet player (First Prize in the Maurice André competition, First Prize in the ARD Munich competition, instrumental soloist of the year at the Victoires de la Musique in 2004 and 2007), David Guerrier studies the horn at the CNSM in Lyon in the class of Michel Garcin Marrou then at the Universität für Musik Wien in the class of Roland Berger.

He will be principal horn of the National Orchestra of France from 2004 to 2009 then of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra from 2009 to 2010. He has taught the horn since 2006 at the CNSM in Lyon. His discography includes Mozart’s Fourth Horn Concerto with the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris under the direction of John Nelson and Schumann’s Konzertstück for 4 horns and orchestra with La Chambre Philharmonique under the direction of Emmanuel Krivine.
