Lajos Rezmüves was born in Hungary in 1990. At the age of 10, he received his first trumpet lesson. Lajos was strongly connected to the brass band of his hometown from the beginning, where he could gather his first experiences. After completing his high school diploma, he studied Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Stuttgart with Prof. Wolfgang Bauer. During this time, Lajos was an academist in the Symphony Orchestra of the SWR Stuttgart and an intern in the Symphony Orchestra of the SWR Freiburg. Throughout his studies, he regularly played at the Stuttgart State Opera and at the “Bach-Collegium Stuttgart” under the direction of Helmuth Rilling and Hans-Christoph Rademann. From 2015-2018, Lajos studied in the soloist class at the Freiburg University of Music with Prof. Wim Van Hasselt. Since 2016, Lajos has been the principal trumpeter of the Philharmonic State Orchestra Mainz. As a guest, he plays, among others, at the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden and at the Frankfurt Opera. Lajos attended masterclasses with, among others, Gábor Boldóczki, Gábor Tarkövi, Jouko Harjanne, and Frits Damrow. Additionally, Lajos works very closely with Prof. Tobias Füller.
