Gergő Turai was born in 2004 in Budapest and started playing the trumpet at the age of seven. He began his musical studies at the Szentendre Music School under the guidance of Richárd Kresz and later continued his studies with Tibor Király at the Szent István Music Gymnasium in Budapest.
He won the national competition in Hungary twice and is also a prize-winner of the Brno International Competition. Since 2022, he has been studying at the UdK Berlin under the direction of Professor Gábor Tarkövi.
Gergő was a member of the Verbier Youth- and the Verbier Festival Orchestra.
In September 2023, he won the audition for the Associate Principal trumpet position at Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
