Dieses neue Trompetenmodell entstand durch die engen Zusammenarbeit mit Prof. Jack Burt (Professor für Trompete an der School of Performing Arts der University of Maine)
Ziel war es eine Trompete zu kreieren die den amerikanischen Stil, klar, konzentriert mit nötiger Flexibilität erfüllt.
Unser Modell 1961 lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sie überzeugt auch durch ihren brillanten, warmen und weittragenden Klang.
I had the pleasure of working with Schagerl’s resident creative genius, Robert Schagerl, during the design of the ‘1961’ models. Robert is the designer of their rotary lines, as well as the Ganschhorn, KillerQueen, Ravenii, Spider, and the entire James Morrison line of instruments! A true genius… I spent days playing various combinations. While I did give my own feedback, more importantly, Robert listened with his own ears. He knew what is was he was looking for!
The result is an unqualified success! The 1961s are ‘dead, solid perfect’, ‘straight down the middle’ American style trumpets: Clear, rich, focused, liquid and brilliant. Yet, more – they play with a greater flexibility and response, free-blowing and beautiful with just the right amount of resistance. They are a joy to play.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, beim Design der „1961“-Modelle mit Schagerls kreativem Genie, Robert Schagerl, zusammenzuarbeiten. Robert ist der Designer ihrer Drehventil-Linien sowie des Ganschhorn, KillerQueen, Raweni, Spider und der gesamten James Morrison-Instrumentenlinie! Ein wahres Genie… Ich verbrachte Tage damit, verschiedene Kombinationen zu spielen. Während ich mein eigenes Feedback gab, was noch wichtiger ist, hörte Robert mit seinen eigenen Ohren zu. Er wusste, wonach ich suchte!
Das Ergebnis ist ein uneingeschränkter Erfolg! Die 1961er sind „solide, perfekte“, „gerade durch die Mitte“ Trompeten im amerikanischen Stil: klar, reich, konzentriert und brillant. Darüber hinaus spielt man sie mit größerer Flexibilität, frei und schön mit genau der richtigen Menge an Widerstand. Sie sind eine Freude zu spielen.

A fantastically rich core. Excellent flexibility. Brilliant response, perfect tuning, and can be wielded to produce any of the colours that we are required to give at the drop of a hat in the Studio. The 1961 is a sheer joy to play. I’ve always wanted to have one horn that I can use to fit the entire range of tonal qualities that my career requires, and to say I’m impressed with what Schagerl have designed would be a gross understatement. It is indeed, super!”
