He is an international soloist and currently principal trumpet of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

Second prize winner of the International Trumpet Competition at the “Brass Week” in Lieksa, Finland, 2012. He won the first prize in the national trumpet competitions: “Eric Aubier” 2001 and “Ciudad de Bogotá” 2005. Finalist and Jury Prize at the International Trumpet Competition in Budapest, Hungary 2009. In Colombia has integrated several symphonic groups, within which it is worth noting the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Band, among others. He has also integrated and collaborated with: the Orchestra of the Americas, the Andean Countries Orchestra, The World Symphony Orchestra 24/04, Santiago de Chile Philharmonic and London Sinfonia. At the Schagerl Brass Festival in 2014 became part of the “European Brass Ensemble”.
